Resins Inc. Goes Green at Megamall this March

Resins Inc. continues to promote its strong advocacy for environmental protection as it actively participates in the Green Pinoy Expo at Megatrade Hall 1, SM Megamall from March 5 to 7. The expo is organized by the Philippine Product Safety and Quality Foundation (PPSQF) in celebration of Consumer Welfare Month.

The Philippine Wood Producers Association, CEMEX and Mariwasa are the co-sponsors of the event which showcases products that are locally made and environment friendly in response to the global economic crisis and the natural disasters which have hit the country due to global warming.
PPSQF Chairman and Resins President Meneleo J. Carlos, Jr. will deliver the opening and welcome remarks, while Resins subsidiary CTNI will hold an exhibit highlighting its role in fighting climate change through fast-growing seedlings from superior trees which significantly improve the capture of carbon dioxide, the main greenhouse gas that causes global warming. The theme of the booth is “Wood: The Best Way to Beat Climate Change.”

The CTNI exhibit underscores the fact that trees, through photosynthesis, capture carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to make wood which, unlike metals or fuel oil, is renewable because it can quickly be replaced by replanting trees. The booth also emphasizes that CTNI clone seedlings are able to maximize the advantages of wood in terms of carbon capture and renewability.

As a side event to the expo, Resins will also give a presentation on March 5 entitled “LVL Up! The Awesome Advantages of Engineered Wood,” an orientation on the merits and applications of LVL or laminated veneer lumber which, in addition to keeping carbon securely captured, uses multiple layers of wood assembled with superior adhesives to make it stronger than steel. “LVL Up!” is scheduled for 3:30 to 4:00 p.m.

See you at SM Megamall!
